Booking, Reservation & Appointment FAQs
How do I schedule services?
Easy — no chasing us down or leaving a mystery voicemail required! Just reach out through our website or give us a call, tell us a bit about your pet (or herd), and we'll set up a free consultation and meet & greet so everyone can get acquainted before the big day.
From there, we'll get your visits scheduled, confirm all the details, and you're officially on the books. The hardest part of the whole process is deciding what treats to leave out for us.
Need a last-minute walk or overnight pet sitter?
We can often fit in same-day or next-day walks — about 75% of the time! Just let us know as soon as possible.
To ensure coverage, we’d like to have 48 hours notice, but in some circumstances, we can fit in established, repeat clients. There’s a $20 urgent booking fee to thank our sitters for the quick schedule change for appointments made with less than 4-hours notice.
Do you make same-day appointments?
We'll do our best to save the day! Same-day appointments are available for our existing clients — since we already know your pets (and they already know us), we can usually jump in fast when life throws you a curveball.
New to Wee Beasties? We'd love to have you, but every new client starts with a free consultation and an in-person meet & greet first, so we can make sure it's a great fit before any sitting begins.
Trust us, your pets will thank us for taking the time to get to know them properly.
There’s a $10 urgent booking fee to thank our sitters for the quick schedule change.
How early can I book a reservation?
After your meet-and-greet and portal setup, you’re good to go. Appointments are on a first-come, first-served basis. A wait list will be created in the event of a cancellation.
Wee Beasties Pet & Farm Sitters takes reservations up to one year in advance.
Do you work on holidays?
Yes! We’re available 365 days a year. A 20% tip will be added to every reservation to support our team members working during major holidays. 100% of the tip goes to your Wee Beastie Bestie.
Major holidays include:
Easter
Thanksgiving
Christmas
Hannukah
New Years
Rosh Hashana
Yom Kippur

Special services like overnights, drop-ins, pet taxis, or solo adventures are booked on a first-come, first-served basis — but we do our best to accommodate every request.

While extreme weather (like ice or heavy snow) can sometimes pause services, you’ll always be first on our schedule.
If it’s unsafe for us to reach your home, we’ll waive cancellation fees. Otherwise, we follow our regular policy but keep you updated during weather events.

How do I sign up?
It’s so easy! Pick the option that works best for you:
Click the sign-up link and create a client portal account
Send an email to info@weebeastiespet.com your area with a little info about your pets and the services you need. We’ll set up your client portal and schedule a meet-and-greet to get you started.
What can I expect from the meet and greet consultation?
For your and your pet’s comfort, there are two steps to the initial FREE consultation for all Wee Beastie Pet & Farm Sitter clients:
Zoom call (30 minutes)—this is the first meet-and-greet for clients and your Wee Beastie pet sitter. We’ll discuss:
the information shared in the client portal.
unique quirks for each of your pets.
address any concerns you have.
answer all of your questions.
in-person meet and greet (45-60 minutes)
Your Wee Beastie pet sitter will meet you at your home for a face-to-face with you and your pets. It’s the first opportunity your pet has to meet us, and it’s as important to us as it is to you that your pet wants us as their bestie when you can’t be there.
During this time, we’ll:
engage with the pets who we’ll care for.
discuss your preferred ways of engaging with your pets and maintaining your home while you’re not there.
get two sets of keys to your home.
If there’s any indication that you or your pet doesn’t “feel” it, please contact Lisa K. (our Chief Beastie Bestie) and we’ll make alternate plans.
Can I make a reservation before the meet-and-greet?
Sadly, we can’t allow reservations to be made before the meet-and-greet two-step process is completed. We can, however, pencil you in so you can rest assured we anticipate everything moving forward. We’ll confirm your booking at the conclusion of the in-person meet-and-greet.

How do you access my home?
Most clients use a lockbox or keypad for easy, secure access. If that’s not an option, we can safely store your key in our office or with your sitter during scheduled services.
Can I tip my pet sitter?
Absolutely! You can add a tip through your portal or thank them in person via cash. Every bit of appreciation goes directly to your Wee Beastie pet sitter.
Will I always have the same sitter?
Earning the trust of you and your pets is our #1 priority. We do our best to assign a consistent sitter, with a trained backup if needed. You can meet any backup sitter for $25, or we can handle everything if your pet is comfortable with new people.

As long as it’s safe for our sitters, we’re happy to help!
What animals do you avoid?
Finding a pet sitter who’s comfortable feeding frozen or live animals to snakes and other reptiles is very difficult. At this time, we do not have any pet sitters on our team or in
our network who are qualified to deliver this type of specialized care.
Where do services take place?
Almost everything happens in your home, where your pets feel safe and comfortable. We match their routines as closely as possible for a stress-free experience.
Can you take care of my pet somewhere else?
Yes! Whether your pet is staying with a friend or at a boarding facility, we can do walks, check-ins, or transport to and from your home. Wee Beasties is not a boarding facility.
Do you charge for multiple pets?
Walks include up to two dogs. Extra dogs are $5 each, or you can book extra time if you’d like them walked separately. For pet sitting, there’s an incremental fee for households with more than three pets. Small caged pets and freshwater fish are always included at no extra cost if there are other pets in the home under the care of Wee Beasties Pet & Farm Sitters.
Do you give medications?
Yes — pills, drops, supplements, insulin, even intramuscular and sub-Q injections. We may schedule a training visit after the meet-and-greet if your regular sitter needs specialized instruction.
Can you take my dog to the park?
Yes! If the park is close to home, there’s no extra taxi fee — just book enough time for travel and play (we recommend 45–60 minutes).
Do you offer group walks or social outings?
We don’t do group walks, but we can take your dog to a nearby dog park or play area if you’d like.
Will you reinforce my dog’s training?
Absolutely! Just let us know your pet’s routines and training cues, and we’ll follow them — whether it’s stopping at corners, sitting before treats, or avoiding other dogs.
Your Wee Beastie Bestie will capture video of you delivering commands to your pet. We’ll do our absolute best to replicate how you do it to keep things consistent and stress-free.
Do you offer a Pet Taxi?
Yes! We’ll safely drive your pet to the vet, groomer, boarding facility, or anywhere else they need to go. We can even do round trips or bring your pup home from boarding after a late flight.
Do you offer human transportation to and from the airport?
COMING SOON!
For overnight bookings exceeding 10 consecutive nights, Wee Beasties will offer transportation for clients to and from the airport, pending availability at the time of booking. Additional fees will apply.
The advantage to having Wee Beasties as your ground transportation is that you’ll have peace of mind that your animals are cared for from the time you leave to the moment you walk through your front door.
Out of food or supplies?
No problem! We can pick up food, litter, medication, or other essentials and drop them off during your next visit — or make a special trip if needed.
